But then; Montreal? Real mountain? What, as opposed to the fake one next door that we only put up for movie sets? I suppose its a corruption of Mont Royale, maybe?
is Real Spanish for Royal? there's a lot of 'Real' things in Spain...
to answer my own question - according to Babelfish - yes...
It is... but the Canadians were pretty staunchly French, with a little Russian thrown in early on, if you went far enough west.
Maybe Monsiuer Real was an explorer or similar.
